Biography
Maya Kandel is a historian and researcher at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3.
She specializes in American foreign policy, the U.S. Congress, and U.S. defense. She is the author of three books, most recently The United States and the World, from George Washington to Donald Trump. She regularly posts on her blog Froggy Bottom about U.S. foreign policy.
Maya Kandel holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and her doctorate from Sciences Po in Paris. Her doctoral dissertation on the role of the U.S. Congress in foreign policy received the Scientific Dissertation Award from the Institute for Advanced Studies in National Defense.
